The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch
by Highball Productions

The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway is a 15” gauge, 1/3 scale railway running for 13.5 miles through the English countryside in Kent, southeast England. The locomotives are to the outline of Gresley A3 Pacifics, plus a pair of 4-8-2’s, in a variety of liveries. Built in the late 1920's, impeccably maintained and turned out, these 9+ ton engines are truly delightful. The railway is not a toy, hauling school children as well as tourists. As much fun as anything I've seen! Narration on/off.

This railway has very fond memories for me as my father (Ian Andrews) used to drive engines at the weekend here and I spent many years growing up around the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. Stu.

CP RAIL'S ROGERS PASS - Double Feature!
by Rail Innovations

CP Rail's ROGERS The Last Pushers Ride mid train pushers on a 15,000 ton coal train. See towering mountain peaks and snow laden fir trees from the "head end" during a "nose job". Ride a twelve unit SD40-2 consist down the hill to Rogers while taking in the wintery splendour of Stoney Creek, Mountain Creek and Glacier National Park. Filmed in February 1987 this is mainline winter railroading at its best.
ROUTE: Built in 1884/5 and named after Major A.B. Rogers, explorer and CPR engineer. Rogers is situated on CP Rail's transcontinental mainline, Mountain subdivision, in the Selkirk range of the Canadian Rockies. The line climbs, westbound, all the way from Beavermouth to Stoney Creek on a ruling gradient of 1.5%, but steepens further on the last 9.3 miles from Rogers averaging 1.98% with a ruling grade of 2.2% on the final 4.5 miles. 56 minutes
CP Rail Conquers ROGERS PASS CP Rail's Macdonald and Shaughnessy Tunnels have tamed Rogers Pass as never before. Take a quick look back to the turn of the Century, the Connaught Tunnel and six unit pushers. Then cover the new Macdonald track in both summer and winter. You'll be at trackside, aboard the trains and in the air, for a fantastic new look at CP Rail and Rogers Pass. 30 minutes

Canadian Pacific's Mountain Sub & Rogers Pass
by Highball Productions

The description 'superb, magnificent and overwhelming' even though vastly overused cannot adequately do justice to the scenery on CPs Mountain Sub, the line over Rogers Pass. The line runs through the Rockies and the Selkirks and is a challenge even to today's high horsepower locos. It is one of the most difficult places in the world to run a railroad with narrow valleys, steep grades and heavy snowfalls with the attendant risk of avalanches. AC4400s and SD90MACs challenge the grades and big as they are, they are dwarfed by the magnificent snow covered peaks. The engineering difficulties in building Rogers Pass, CP's crossing of the Continental Divide, were formidable as were the problems facing CP when they built the new line through Rogers Pass (opened May 1989). The sub runs for 125 miles from Field to Revelstoke, British Columbia, through some of the most spectacular scenery on the continent. Shot in June 1999 all the famous locations are seen, including both old and new Stoney Creek bridges, Mount MacDonald and Shaughnessy tunnels.
